Like everyone thought Pepsi will do something unexpected with their new ad, well, they did but it didn’t come out as expected. Within minutes of getting on screens, video triggered whole new level of controversy and received a heinous response from general crowd.
In the video the young star was displayed wearing a blonde wig and posing for photo shoot. The moment she catches a glimpse of people walking with a banner,” JOIN THE CONVERSATION” , she takes out her wig, smudges her lipstick (for reason best known to her) and joins the mob. The scene which follows is, she picking up the Pepsi can in one of those super chic attitude and walks straight to the nearby police officer and offers him the can with a pretty smile. Well, we lost it there only.

As expected people weren’t very happy with the ad and subsequently social media got flooded with negative reviews. Reaction from social media ranged from some saying it was way far from being realistic or something making sense to people reacting sarcastically over the ad saying it was hilarious and totally illogical.
Noticing the outcry, Pepsi defended itself and said they were just trying to protect and promote peace and national security. They apologized for their deed and made themselves clear, that there was not any ill thoughts behind the ad and they clearly did not want to give lights to any serious issue. Kendall Jenner also faced some negativity for which Pepsi took the blame too.

The ad absolutely failed to impress the people and even some labeled it as a mockery for “Black Lives Matter” protest. Well, the damage is done now, let’s see how Pepsi regains the trust and reputation of the people it once earned.
