Some good news for the congress as 76 year-old, Amarinder Singh took oath as the 26th Chief Minister of Punjab along with 9 other members, including the former cricket player, Navjot Singh Sidhu.

The grand ceremony took place in Raj Bhavan in the presence of our Governor, VP Singh. There was a buzz that Sidhu would be given the post of deputy chief minister but he was the third among the list of nine ministers. The other members include Braham Mohindra, Manpreet Singh Badal, nephew of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Sadhu Singh Dharamkot, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Rana Gurjit Singh Sodhi and Charanjit Singh Chann.
Women empowerment continues as Two women MLAs Aruna Chaudhary and Razia Sultana were sworn in as Ministers of State in presence of former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi.

As reported, the state can have a maximum of 18 members, henceforth the expansion would take place afterwards.
Also, the new Chief Minister portrayed his witty skills by asking to arrange a simple Ceremony as the financial state of state is not good.
